How would one connect a family of 6 that went camping in the 50s in the UK and Sweden, Italy and France and spent nights under the sky in Yugoslavia while travelling to Greece with our campsite, Camping Elizabeth? It took the love and hobby of our founder, Pandaleon Frangedakis and his experiences in Europe travelling with his family to build the wonderful campsite that we are today, an atmosphere that remains intact, making our campers feel like they were droped on a piece of paradise, on the otherwise wonderful island of Crete. The TAVERNA Stuffed tomatoes and green peppers with rice and herbs cooked with potatoes in the oven? Fried calamari spinkled with lemon juice? These might ring a bell for you. However they are typical Greek dishes for a summer noon or evening, especially when you have a spectacular direct view of the beach and are sipping on a cold drink. There is nothing more and nothing less than this, a traditionally home cooked food using the best ingredients all in the area of a typically Greek taverna surrounding that we can offer you. You will be pleasantly surprised by it!
